“Such a cozy little Vietnamese spot with a really relaxing atmosphere 🌿✨ Everything we ordered was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The chicken skewers were juicy and smoky with a delicious glaze. Fresh rolls tasted super fresh and light — perfect with the dipping sauce. Loved the half beef pho & half bánh mì combo idea, great if you want a bit of both without getting too full 😄 The seafood pho had a rich comforting broth and generous toppings. Rice rolls were soft, delicate, and packed with flavour. Papaya salad was refreshing, crunchy, slightly tangy, and balanced perfectly with the seafood. Definitely one of those places that feels comforting and easy to come back to again 💛 Friendly vibe, beautiful interior, and great food overall. Would happily return!”
“Easy ordering via QR code, can also add notes for the chef or staff when placing your order. Prices were reasonable, and the food was good overall. The pho broth was on the sweeter side, which may not suit everyone's palate. Ordered the "Phozilla" and was a little disappointed that the bone marrow portion was quite small. On the plus side, the restaurant has a great atmosphere with plenty of seating.”
“Saigon Commune is an absolute standout and easily one of the most enjoyable Vietnamese dining experiences in Auckland. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels vibrant yet relaxed. The interior blends modern styling with subtle traditional elements, creating a space that feels welcoming and thoughtfully designed. It works perfectly for a casual lunch, dinner with friends, or even a relaxed date night. The food is exceptional. Every dish tastes carefully prepared, balanced, and full of authentic flavour. The pho is a highlight. The broth is deeply aromatic with rich layers that show time and care in preparation. The meat is tender, the noodles are perfectly cooked, and the fresh herbs add brightness to every spoonful. It is comforting without feeling heavy and flavourful without being overwhelming. The banh mi is equally impressive. The bread has the ideal texture with a crisp outer crust and a soft interior. The fillings are generous and well seasoned. Savoury meats pair beautifully with fresh herbs and tangy pickled vegetables, creating a perfect balance of flavour and texture in each bite. Rice dishes and vermicelli bowls are prepared with the same level of quality. The grilled meats have a slight char that adds depth and smokiness. Fresh greens and herbs keep everything light and refreshing. The sauces complement rather than overpower the dish. Portions are satisfying while still feeling clean and well balanced. Service is friendly, efficient, and attentive. Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. They are happy to make recommendations and ensure everything arrives promptly. The overall experience feels organised and smooth from start to finish. One of the strongest aspects of Saigon Commune is consistency. The ingredients taste fresh, the presentation is neat, and the flavours are vibrant. There is clear attention to detail in every dish served. It is the type of place where you finish your meal already thinking about what you will order next time. Saigon Commune manages to honour traditional Vietnamese flavours while presenting them in a modern and approachable way. For anyone in Auckland looking for quality Vietnamese cuisine that delivers both flavour and atmosphere, this restaurant truly stands out.”
